Recommendations on Showing Your Boat

We have the opportunity to show boats each week, and we know the details count.  I thought I'd share areas that potential buyers notice, and can play a significant role in the decision to purchase:

1. Detail the exterior.

2. Remove personal gear that is not part of the sale (such as clothing items).

3. Remove equipment or electronics that are not part of the sale of the boat.

4. Clean the interior. Areas include lockers, bilges, head and galley.

5. Replace worn out cushions, carpets or window treatments.

6. Compile maintenance records, and have any recent survey available.

7. Collect operation manuals or transferable warranties.

Downeast Hull Design

The design of the Downeast Hull is extremely versatile. I know of no other hull design that can operate as comfortably and efficiently, using it's entire operating range of it's main propulsion engine.

Between the three basic designs below the water line (skeg built, semi-built down, and fully built down) they allow the owner to custom build a vessel for a wide variety of applications: commercial lobstering, sportfishing, day picnic yachts, and passenger boats to name a few.
